Strategic Quality Leadership: Develop and implement the overall quality strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949). Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and regularly report on performance to senior management. Quality Management System (QMS): Ensure the effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the QMS in accordance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements. Lead internal and external audits (customer, certification bodies) and ensure timely closure of non-conformities. Oversee document control and record keeping for all quality-related processes. Product & Process Quality: Drive APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities for new product introductions and engineering changes. Implement and manage statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor and improve manufacturing processes. Oversee incoming material inspection, in-process quality control, and final product inspection. Customer & Supplier Quality: Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, leading root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa. Manage supplier quality, including supplier selection, audits, performance monitoring, and development to ensure compliance with quality standards. Proactively engage with customers to understand their quality expectations and ensure their satisfaction. Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen to reduce defects, optimize processes, and enhance efficiency. Promote a culture of problem-solving and proactive quality management throughout the organization. Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
