The Head of Wealth Marketing & Communications is a senior leadership position responsible for the strategic integration of two critical functions. You will lead drive brand equity and market share across our retail, wealth, and global business services divisions. In an environment where efficiency and data are paramount, you will pivot our strategy toward digital-first initiatives, utilizing AI and data analytics to outmaneuver competitors with larger traditional budgets. This role acts as a strategic advisor to the C-Suite, managing the corporate narrative and safeguarding the firm’s reputation within a highly regulated landscape.
Job Responsibility:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategy for the local market, ensuring alignment with global agendas
Brand & Marketing Strategy: Drive Strategic Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Brand Communications with a focus on high-value segments like Wealth and Advisory
Digital Innovation & AI: Lead the digital transformation of the marketing function, implementing AI tools to improve content velocity and utilizing data-driven insights for more efficient decision-making
P.R. & Crisis Management: Act as the primary lead for P.R. and crisis communications, maintaining rigorous monitoring of brand sentiment and navigating complex regulatory requirements (e.g., BNM) with precision
Stakeholder Management: Provide thought leadership and strategic counsel to the Malaysia CEO and Management Team/ExCo, managing the narrative for C-Suite leadership during public and internal engagements
Internal Communications: Oversee internal engagement and townhalls for a workforce to ensure motivation and alignment with corporate values
Events & Sponsorship: Manage high-profile sponsorships (e.g., major marathons) and large-scale corporate events, incorporating innovative technology like AI and robotics for brand activations
Requirements:
Proven track record in a senior leadership role within Marketing and P.R., preferably within the Financial Services or Insurance sectors
Ability to achieve high brand equity and competitive edge in a "lean" environment by prioritizing digital channels over traditional mass-market spending
Forward-thinking approach to AI integration in marketing workflows and a deep understanding of digital platform investments
Exceptional skills in P.R., crisis management, and executive-level advisory
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (Brand, Retail Marketing, Corporate Affairs, and Internal Comms) through organizational transformations
Familiarity with the local regulatory landscape and experience managing sensitive communications within compliance frameworks
