Job Description:

You’ll be part of the New verticals Strategy & Operations (S&O) team, the engine responsible for driving NV Value strategy. In this role, you’ll support and lead high-impact workstreams that inform where and how we provide great value to customers in a financially sustainable way across the whole suite of levers: Item pricing, discounting, Fees, Value discovery etc. You’ll partner closely with Product, Marketing, Commercial, Analytics and local markets to translate strategy into execution. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong strategy skills, analytical thinking, structured communication, and sound commercial judgment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and Shape Value strategy and independently set roadmap across markets, and value levers
  • Be accountable for achieving NV Value OKRs (e.g. price mark-up, item offer penetration) across key markets
  • Proactively identify and size new value opportunities and design net‑new initiatives to unlock them
  • Support key commercial initiatives on partner onboarding, strategic promotional events
  • Own the setting and tracking and reporting of KPIs for Value pod, own performance reviews
  • Collaborate with Analytics and Data Science to build frameworks for performance monitoring, forecasting, opportunity sizing
  • Lead end to end specific workstreams or initiatives within broader cross-functional programs, such as: Fee optimisation to drive consumer habituation with NV proposition
  • Rollout of the key promotional mechanics across markets
  • Drive GTM /adoption for specific product features
  • Serve as a key point of contact for Value pod with Product, Marketing, Finance, and local market teams
  • Shape cross-functional operating models to keep work moving
  • Mentor junior NV S&O teammates and guide cross‑functional squads in structuring and executing value initiatives
  • Drive knowledge sharing and playbook development to scale high-performing ideas
  • Lead a team of 2+ people including accountability for team performance, development, and hiring

Requirements:

  • Has 6-8 years experience in consulting, strategy function
  • preferably with core expertise in pricing
  • Has a hands-on mentality and is willing to get stuck into shaping how consumers engage with Deliveroo
  • Can prioritise effectively while working on multiple projects concurrently and independently
  • Is adept at conducting 80/20 analysis, drawing out business insights from that analysis and presenting findings and recommendations persuasively
  • Strong problem solving abilities involving identifying the root cause of problems, assessing risks/impacts and determining and implementing effective solutions
  • Highly analytical mindset with the ability to break down large data sets and turn them into actionable insights
  • Strong presentation skills and an ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences in a clear, simple way, both written and verbally
  • London-based with a minimum of three days required in the office
