Job Description

Strategic leadership role developing and implementing Total Rewards strategy for a global specialty chemicals group.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and implement the Total Rewards strategy aligned with overall business and HR strategy
  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and internal governance standards
  • Drive market benchmarking, analytics, and cost modelling to guide compensation decisions
  • Represent the company in collective bargaining negotiations and committees
  • Define and oversee global compensation guidelines, including external benchmarking, global annual salary review process, bonus and incentive schemes, global benefits and pension guidelines
  • Define global guidance and oversight for Health & Work Life measures
  • Develop Expat policies and processes and execute corporate administration
  • Manage compensation topics for Top Executives and oversee Board remuneration matters
  • Ensure proper remuneration reporting
  • Lead a team of approximately 13 experts across Compensation, Job Grading, Pension, Benefits, Health, Executive Management and Expat Management
  • Provide functional leadership & guidance to global team members across regions
  • Maintain continuous dialogue with key stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Legal)
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and People Management
  • Engage with co-determination partners
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Manage complexity and effectively prioritize topics
  • Drive process optimization to enhance efficiency and employee experience
  • Navigate high-expectation environments within global organizations

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Psychology, or equivalent
  • More than 10 years of professional experience in a global organization with deep expertise in Compensation & Benefits
  • Proven ability to lead in a multicultural environment, excellent people management skills
  • Business fluent in English (spoken and written), advanced German language skills
