As part of our continued investment in disciplined execution across Technology, we are establishing the role of Head of the Office of the CIO (OCIO). Reporting directly to the SVP, Technology, this leader is accountable for translating technology strategy into structured priorities, orchestrating execution across senior leadership, and ensuring clear accountability for delivery. The Office of the CIO serves as the integrating function across the technology organization, driving enterprise wide initiatives, coordinating senior leadership engagement, managing complex cross functional programs, and providing decision ready insights to the CIO and executive leadership. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, execution, governance, and financial discipline and carries primary responsibility for the CIO’s operating rhythm, executive reporting, and strategic program delivery. This position requires a highly credible leader who can operate as a trusted advisor, enterprise program leader, and hands on driver of work. The successful candidate will be able to take high level direction and ambiguity and convert it into clear, structured plans that are executed consistently across the organization. The Head of the Office of the CIO will oversee an established OCIO team, with additional growth and scope expansion expected.
Job Responsibility
Serve as a key advisor to the CIO by transforming ideas, questions, and direction into structured analysis, recommendations, and actionable execution plans
Own and drive the core operating rhythm of the CIO organization, including leadership meetings, agendas, materials, follow‑ups, and executive communications
Build, lead, and scale a high‑performing OCIO team, providing coaching, development, and clear accountability for results
Run the Office of the CIO as an enterprise‑scale program with defined objectives, governance, milestones, and measurable outcomes
Lead high‑impact initiatives assigned directly by the CIO, including operating model assessments, organizational design, strategic planning enablement, and productivity transformations
Orchestrate complex, cross‑functional initiatives with firm‑wide impact, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and executive escalations
Partner with technology senior leaders and the Enterprise PMO to establish, enforce, and continuously improve program execution standards
Drive and shape the advancement of the enterprise technology strategy through analysis, research, and structured, data‑driven recommendations
Strengthen strategic decision‑making by providing context, insights, scenario analysis, and trade‑off evaluations
Facilitate strategic planning sessions and senior leadership workshops, including development of multi‑year technology priorities and roadmaps
Produce clear, concise, and decision‑ready reporting for senior leadership covering strategic initiatives, financial performance, execution risks, and organizational health
Prepare materials for executive committees, board‑level discussions, and C‑suite engagements
Ensure the CIO and technology leadership team have timely, accurate, and actionable information to drive decisions
Partner closely with finance, operations, and technology leaders on budget planning, forecasting, headcount management, and investment prioritization
Support productivity and cost‑efficiency initiatives during periods of budget pressure while maintaining alignment to strategic objectives
Ensure technology investment decisions are supported by rigorous financial analysis and clear linkage to enterprise priorities
Requirements
Ten (10) or more years of experience in enterprise technology leadership, technology program management, management consulting, or a similar strategic advisory role
Direct experience supporting a senior technology executive in a highly visible, trusted capacity
Demonstrated ability to lead structured programs, manage complex cross‑functional initiatives, and guide teams in delivering high‑impact work
Strong enterprise technology knowledge, including strategy development, governance, and large‑scale transformation
Proven track record producing high‑quality executive reporting and presentations for senior audiences
Financial management experience including budgets, forecasting, headcount planning, and portfolio investment analysis
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments while exercising sound judgment and executive‑level influence
Clear understanding that this is a delivery‑oriented role requiring hands‑on execution and personal accountability for outcomes
Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor’s: Information Technology, High School (HS) (Required)
