The Head of Telemarketing is responsible for the successful planning, delivery, and performance of telemarketing campaigns across CloserStill Media’s portfolio of events. As Head of Department, you will play a pivotal role in growing and developing the telemarketing team, with a core objective of nurturing early-career talent and enabling progression into other areas of the business. The Telemarketing team forms a vital talent pipeline for CloserStill Media. As such, this role also owns the planning and delivery of the Sales Academy our early careers initiative designed to develop future sales professionals and provide them with the best possible foundation for a long-term career within the business. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring an agile, inspirational people manager who thrives in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment. You will combine strong motivational leadership with effective project management, collaborating cross-functionally and engaging senior stakeholders to ensure both Telemarketing and the Sales Academy operate successfully.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, manage, and develop the telemarketing team, monitoring KPIs and performance across multiple event campaigns
Collaborate with marketing and show teams to plan telemarketing campaigns, including resource allocation, data usage, KPIs, and targets
Recruit ambitious, driven, and high-potential individuals into the telemarketing team
Organise regular meet-and-greet sessions and development activities to support internal progression opportunities
Deliver weekly performance and activity reports to the Board
Own the ongoing training and development of the team, including monthly workshops
Provide quarterly performance updates and project reports to senior management
Plan, recruit for, and implement the Sales Academy, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure a high-quality experience and strong future career pathways for entry-level talent
Requirements:
Experience leading and developing large teams within a sales or KPI-driven environment
A proven ability to drive high performance, maintain momentum, and address underperformance constructively
A strong track record of developing entry-level talent and building inclusive, psychologically safe team cultures
Excellent communication skills, with confidence delivering both positive and developmental feedback
Experience building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, managing expectations, and communicating clearly on timelines and delivery
