Job Description:

The role is accountable to INBB CIO for end to end ownership for the IT Cybersecurity Control, IT Infrastructure, and IT Service Quality Management. The priority is to ensure IT platform resilience for the Fund Sales system and Broker Core system including all peripheral apps and systems that relate to INBB business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage the cybersecurity function for HSBC Broker, overseeing cyber risk management, threat detection, and incident response
  • execute the global Cybersecurity strategy and key priorities within HSBC Broker
  • ensure high standards of internal cybersecurity controls and oversight mechanisms to identify and mitigate emerging threats in the cybersecurity landscape
  • implement cybersecurity best practices, standards, and governance frameworks, ensuring controls are mapped and adjusted to evolving cyber threats
  • raise awareness of cybersecurity risks among business stakeholders and educate management on risk levels and required mitigation actions
  • represent HSBC Broker Cybersecurity in IT Risk & Control Management Meetings and relevant global insurance governance forums
  • produce cybersecurity metrics in supporting HSBC Broker Board of Director meeting, HSBC Broker Chief Control Officer (CCO) risk and control assessment, local RMM, etc
  • ensure adherence to cybersecurity controls and facilitate access to cybersecurity services to support business strategy initiatives
  • oversee IT asset management for HSBC Broker headquarters and branches, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements and technology FIM
  • lead infrastructure design, deployment, and management, including configuration management, environment management, technical cutovers, and vendor management
  • ensure any infrastructure solution is efficient, cost-effective, and highly resilient, while maintaining a strong focus on service quality
  • drive infrastructure automation, consolidation, and complexity reduction to deliver cost-efficient, resilient, and scalable solutions
  • support disaster recovery exercises, onsite inspections, fixed asset management, and local vendor engagements
  • monitor and ensure Service Quality Targets are consistently met for all infrastructure services provided
  • run internal change review for changes to production environment in HSBC Broker, proactively identify and address service quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing business impact
  • operates change, incident, and problem management in according to International Wealth and Premier Banking TECH best practices, and produce relevant metrics for continuous improvement with the suppling IT service engineering team
  • manage relationships with key stakeholders, including the HSBC Broker Chief Information Officer, Chief Operation Officer, HSBC Tech platform leads, Cybersecurity Leadership, and external bodies such as regulators
  • collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align cybersecurity, infrastructure, and service quality initiatives with business objectives

Requirements:

  • 15+ years working experience within finance industry on IT Operation and Service management
  • high mindset of compliance and risk control in banking and insurance industry
  • strong knowledge of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure
  • extensive knowledge of Insurance Brokerage including fund sales and Health/Environmental, Social and Governance services and products
  • extensive knowledge and experience of service quality management, risk control, vendor management, workforce management, and productivity management
  • excellent time management, planning and organization skills
  • strong navigation ability in complex situation and communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations, in both Chinese and English with stakeholders across different functions/depts
  • strong leadership skills, team builder and effective influencer
  • exposure and success working within a global matrix organization, strong mindset of intra-group service management
  • ability to think laterally & innovatively and find creative solutions, with a proactive approach to problem solving and delivery
  • great attention to details and strong capability to identify and manage risk
  • highly experienced in getting the best out of people at various levels
  • certification of IT management (ITIL expert) and Cloud Certification (ALI) is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
