Job Description:

This is a rare and high-impact opportunity to shape technical direction, champion best practice worldwide, and lead an expert team delivering safety, sustainability and technical standards for an influential professional body.

Job Responsibility:

Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of technical and safety specialists
Oversee divisional roadmaps aligned to organisational strategy, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality outputs
Drive continuous improvement in safety across all technical areas, including publication of annual safety reports and safety flashes
Oversee sustainability initiatives and contribute to internal ESG priorities
Manage the development, review and publication of technical guidelines, standards and best-practice documentation
Support and oversee technical committees, working groups and governance frameworks
Represent the organisation globally at technical forums, events and industry meetings
Play a key role in delivering successful events (webinars, conferences and technical sessions) working collaboratively across internal teams
Contribute actively to organisational leadership, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and alignment with strategy, objectives and KPIs

Requirements:

Significant leadership experience within offshore marine contracting or a closely related technical field
Strong understanding of technical, safety and sustainability functions within complex environments
A track record of delivering safety and sustainability improvements across multiple technical areas
Experience producing and overseeing high-quality technical reports, guidelines and documents
Demonstrated ability to work with technical committees, volunteers and external specialists
Credibility and confidence representing an organisation internationally
Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence diverse groups across industry and corporate partners

Nice to have:

Experience driving change, improving processes and leading specialist teams through transformation
Background or exposure to sustainability/ESG initiatives
