Job Description:

This is a rare and high-impact opportunity to shape technical direction, champion best practice worldwide, and lead an expert team delivering safety, sustainability and technical standards for an influential professional body.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of technical and safety specialists
  • Oversee divisional roadmaps aligned to organisational strategy, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality outputs
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety across all technical areas, including publication of annual safety reports and safety flashes
  • Oversee sustainability initiatives and contribute to internal ESG priorities
  • Manage the development, review and publication of technical guidelines, standards and best-practice documentation
  • Support and oversee technical committees, working groups and governance frameworks
  • Represent the organisation globally at technical forums, events and industry meetings
  • Play a key role in delivering successful events (webinars, conferences and technical sessions) working collaboratively across internal teams
  • Contribute actively to organisational leadership, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and alignment with strategy, objectives and KPIs

Requirements:

  • Significant leadership experience within offshore marine contracting or a closely related technical field
  • Strong understanding of technical, safety and sustainability functions within complex environments
  • A track record of delivering safety and sustainability improvements across multiple technical areas
  • Experience producing and overseeing high-quality technical reports, guidelines and documents
  • Demonstrated ability to work with technical committees, volunteers and external specialists
  • Credibility and confidence representing an organisation internationally
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to influence diverse groups across industry and corporate partners

Nice to have:

  • Experience driving change, improving processes and leading specialist teams through transformation
  • Background or exposure to sustainability/ESG initiatives
