We are looking for an experienced Head of Tax Korea. The role is to partner with and understand the business, execute and ensure tax compliancy with a strategical and tactical focus while pro-actively supporting ASML and its business partners. The role requires working with colleagues in various countries and different expertise areas within Tax & Customs and outside the Tax & Customs function.
Job Responsibility
Management of a team including inspiring leadership and people development
Work together with Korean Finance lead and other finance functions (reporting, accounting, treasury), legal and other colleagues
Contribute directly in managing Tax & Customs aspects of supporting our customers in Korea
Managing all relevant stakeholders including external tax authorities and internal business
Ensuring Tax Compliance & Control through implementation and monitoring of processes and controls for tax risk management and reporting
Participate in development of APAC tax strategy in line with Global Tax Strategy
Ensure management of various regional tax projects and outside consultants
Contribute to design, integration and maintaining of effective and efficient operating model
Manage tax audits and tax exposure and provide efficient tax planning
Participate to proper knowledge database as corporate memory
Participate in cross-sector projects as APAC representative of T&C team
Requirements
Minimum of 20 years’ experience
Combination of Big-4 Firm and in-house Head of Tax
Strong experience in working in a multi-disciplinary environment and in a multi-cultural team
Good cultural awareness and understanding of Asian and Western cultures
Ideally worked and lived abroad
Fluent in English and Korean both orally and in writing
Academic background in Accounting, (Tax) Law, Economics, or Business Administration combined with academic or post-academic Tax Law courses
Certified Public Tax Accountant or CPA preferred
Legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined in US Export Administration Regulations
