Job Description

A senior leadership role driving standards, compliance, and resident-focused service delivery in one of London’s most dynamic boroughs. This is a key role leading the Council’s surveying function and its Legal Disrepair and ADR service, ensuring that homes are safe, compliant, and well-maintained while minimising disrepair liability and safeguarding the Council’s legal and financial position.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the Council’s surveying function and its Legal Disrepair and ADR service
  • Oversee a team of area surveying managers and the Legal Disrepair/ADR Manager
  • Lead the management of all legal disrepair matters
  • Establish robust processes to address damp and mould
  • Oversee defect diagnosis, property inspections, quality assurance, and compliance with building regulations and safety standards
  • Develop clear policies, streamlined systems, and accurate reporting frameworks
  • Mentor and develop teams, support cultural transformation
  • Be a key voice in resident engagement, representing the service at internal and external forums

Requirements

  • Senior leadership experience in surveying, legal disrepair or complex housing repairs services
