The Head of Strategy is a pivotal position within Endeavour Group. This role is responsible for driving the development of strategic plans and key projects across the Group and its various business units. The focus will be on identifying and targeting areas that offer the highest potential for profitable growth or represent the most significant business challenges. This work is distinct from 'Business As Usual' (BAU) operations, requiring dedicated resources to accelerate strategic thinking and delivery. As the Head of Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the Group strategy, leading a high-performing team of strategy professionals. This role involves extensive collaboration with employees and leaders across the business. You will report directly to the GM of Strategy and join an experienced team focused on resolving the company's most critical commercial and strategic challenges. Success in this position requires drawing on solid business acumen and consulting experience.
Job Responsibility:
Own and shape the Group strategy, focusing on high-value growth and critical business challenges
Work at the centre of Executive decision-making to influence outcomes across the portfolio
Lead and inspire a high-performing strategy team to deliver insight-led change at pace
Partner across the business to develop and refine Endeavour Group’s strategic plans
Lead and develop a highly-motivated team of strategy professionals
Manage and prioritise across multiple projects with different stakeholders and timelines
Use quantitative problem-solving and analytical capabilities to develop the fact bases that will inform decision-making
Develop and communicate clear recommendations and influence stakeholders to catalyse positive change
Inject creative and innovative thinking
Perform complex analysis and extract insights from that analysis
Develop actionable insights by conducting data driven analysis to support senior decision making across the business
Monitor market trends and the competitive landscape to help identify competitive threats and new business opportunities
Create written communication materials to deliver insights and analysis
Influence key stakeholders to deliver impactful change
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in a top tier strategy consultancy (Bain, BCG, McKinsey)
Proven leadership experience
Ability to work and excel in a high performing team environment
Outstanding academic record and social achievements
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects
Experience in quantitative modelling
Superb written and oral communication with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence across an organisation
Consumer market experience and/or retail experience is an advantage
Experience and knowledge of strategic problem solving and frameworks
