Job Description

Slough Borough Council is seeking an exceptional Head of Strategic Commissioning to provide senior leadership across adult social care commissioning, partnerships, co-production, integration and transformation. As a key member of the Adults Senior Leadership Team, you will shape ambitious, evidence-led commissioning strategies, manage a significant programme of work, and ensure services are designed around the needs, experiences and aspirations of local people. In this role, you will lead major commissioning and improvement activity across the Council and with health, voluntary, independent sector and community partners. You will oversee the commissioning forward plan, support the effective use of substantial care and non-care budgets, drive savings and value for money, and lead key transformation programmes including the Better Care Fund and the move towards neighbourhood health and more integrated services.
