Job Description

North Star Network is looking for a Head of SEO to lead organic growth across a portfolio of sports and betting media brands operating in more than 30 countries, including SportsMole.co.uk, Trivela.com.br, TopMercato.com and Basket USA. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role. You will oversee SEO performance across dozens of websites, multiple languages and several markets, working closely with SEO Team Leads, Business Managers, Content, Product, Tech and Data teams. You will also help shape and improve our AI-assisted SEO workflows, ensuring they scale effectively while maintaining high quality standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and execute the SEO roadmap across brands, markets and languages
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business impact and opportunity
  • Monitor rankings, traffic, conversions, crawlability and indexation
  • Investigate algorithm updates, traffic drops and technical issues
  • Build clear KPIs and reporting frameworks
  • Improve AI-assisted workflows for SERP analysis, content QA, briefs and internal linking
  • Develop scalable SEO systems, dashboards and alerts
  • Work with Data and Automation teams to increase efficiency across the portfolio
  • Build documentation and knowledge-sharing processes
  • Lead and support a team of 15 SEO specialists
  • Coach SEO Managers and Team Leads
  • Help recruit, train and develop SEO talent
  • Raise standards and challenge outdated practices

Requirements

  • Proven SEO leadership experience in iGaming, betting, affiliate SEO, lead generation or large media businesses
  • Track record of growing organic traffic across multiple websites, markets or languages
  • Strong expertise in: technical SEO, content SEO, internal linking, indexation, SERP analysis
  • Hands-on experience with: Google Search Console, GA4, ahrefs, semrush, screaming Frog, rank tracking tools, log analysis
  • Strong analytical and business mindset
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Interest in AI and automation, with good judgment on where automation creates value
  • Fluent English
  • Important: this is a hands-on role. We are looking for someone who uses data, tools and automation daily, not someone who manages SEO from a distance.
