My digital marketing agency client is looking for an experienced Head of SEO to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a senior role so you MUST have worked as Head of SEO in a digital marketing agency environment. Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement SEO and GEO strategies aligned with client business objectives across multiple accounts
Conduct technical audits covering site architecture, crawling and indexing, page speed, and structured data
Translate findings into prioritised roadmaps with clear actions and Timelines
Execute on-page optimisation, technical implementations, and content strategy recommendations
Work directly within CMS platforms where required
Analyse competitor landscapes and identify strategic opportunities for organic growth
Stay current with algorithm updates, AI search developments, and LLM optimisation
Serve as the primary SEO contact for all clients in the portfolio
Build relationships based on trust, transparency, and consistent results
Educate clients on SEO best practices and provide strategic guidance on organic search decisions
Monitor rankings, visibility, traffic, and conversion data
Identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring optimisation
Build reports focused on results and ROI, not vanity metrics
Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reviews that guide next steps
Define and track KPIs that demonstrate the business impact of SEO activity
Develop SEO processes, templates, and documentation
Support new business pitches with SEO insights, competitor analysis, and strategic Recommendations
Collaborate with PPC, Paid Social, and Creative teams to integrate SEO into broader marketing initiatives
Requirements:
Three to five years of SEO experience in an agency environment
Working knowledge of GEO, AI Search and LLM optimisation, or willingness to rapidly Upskill
Strong technical SEO, on-page optimisation and content strategy skills
Experience managing multiple clients and stakeholders
Proficiency with GSC, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMRush and Screaming Frog
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Understanding of PPC, Paid Social or wider digital strategy
