Head of science

• Strategic Leadership: Formulate and implement an annual subject improvement plan based on rigorous data review
• Curriculum Development: Lead the development of syllabuses, schemes of work, and assessment strategies
• People Management: Recruit, induct, and manage a motivated team of teaching and support staff
• Outstanding Teaching: Act as a high-profile role model for teaching excellence across all age and ability ranges
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all health and safety policies, including risk assessments, are strictly maintained within the department

• A degree and QTS (or equivalent)
• Proven track record of successful teaching at GCSE level with evidence of raising achievement
• Thorough knowledge of current curriculum developments and educational thinking
• Ability to motivate others, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
