Job Description

The Head of SAP Application Management Services will lead the strategy and execution of the SAP AMS portfolio, focusing on revenue growth, client engagement, and operational excellence. The role requires over 10 years of experience in SAP services, strong P&L management skills, and the ability to lead global teams. An MBA is preferred.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and execute the US AMS growth strategy aligned with global Managed Services objectives
  • Expand recurring revenue through renewals, cross-sell, upsell, and new solution innovation
  • Partner with Sales and Pre-Sales to shape competitive, scalable, and differentiated AMS offerings
  • Position NTT DATA Business Solutions as a market leader in SAP Managed Services through thought leadership and executive client engagement
  • Lead full P&L accountability for the US AMS business, including revenue growth, margin optimization, and forecast accuracy
  • Ensure profitable solution design and disciplined commercial governance
  • Optimize subcontractor and global delivery cost structures to drive sustainable margin expansion
  • Manage contractual risk and executive-level negotiations
  • Oversee high-quality SAP AMS delivery across US and global delivery centers (India, Brazil, Romania, and strategic partners)
  • Establish standardized KPIs, governance frameworks, and ITIL-aligned service management processes
  • Drive operational scalability, automation, and performance optimization
  • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive value realization and executive-level engagement
  • Ensure AMS services fully align with SAP RISE operating models and entitlement structures
  • Drive awareness and optimization of SAP RISE entitlements, including SAP Business AI, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and SAP Signavio
  • Partner with Cloud and Consulting teams to identify opportunities for BTP-enabled extensions, integrations, and automation within supported client landscapes
  • Leverage Signavio insights to support continuous process improvement, business transformation, and value realization initiatives
  • Embed RISE entitlement advisory into QBRs and account planning to enhance client adoption and retention
  • Position AMS as a value realization engine beyond traditional support services
  • Identify and deploy AI-driven capabilities to enhance SAP AMS delivery, including intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and GenAI-enabled support operations
  • Collaborate across NTT DATA Business Solutions to integrate AI-powered services into go-to-market offerings
  • Improve internal efficiency, service responsiveness, and margin performance through automation and advanced analytics
  • Position AI-enabled AMS as a strategic differentiator in the SAP services market
  • Lead and develop a multi-layered leadership team and global delivery organization
  • Drive talent strategy, succession planning, and skills transformation aligned to SAP S/4HANA and AI evolution
  • Foster a high-performance, client-centric culture across a multi-shore operating model
  • Strengthen employee engagement and leadership capability across the AMS organization

Requirements

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in SAP services or managed services environments
  • 5+ years of direct P&L ownership within a Managed Services organization
  • Deep understanding of SAP application landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, cross-functional domains)
  • Proven success leading global, multi-shore delivery organizations
  • Executive presence with experience engaging C-level client stakeholders
  • Experience negotiating and structuring AMS contracts
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL or equivalent service management frameworks
  • MBA preferred
