We are looking for a Head of Sales to lead our growth efforts. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will be responsible for developing and executing our sales strategy, building a world-class sales team, and driving revenue growth. As the Head of Sales, you will work closely with marketing and engineering to expand DBtune’s market presence, attract enterprise and mid-market customers, and establish scalable sales processes. You will play a crucial role in shaping our go-to-market strategy, optimizing sales operations, and positioning DBtune as the leading solution for AI-driven PostgreSQL tuning. You will report directly to the CEO. You will travel up to 30% of the time to meet clients and attend conferences.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue and market adoption and consistently deliver on quota accountability (New, Upsell and Renewal)
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on enterprise and mid-market customers
Closing deals yourself, this is not yet a pure manager role
Build and lead a GTM team consisting of SDRs, AEs and partner managers in line with the achieving of the company's business plan
Work closely with marketing and product teams to refine positioning and messaging
Establish and optimize sales processes, sales tools and lead an effective business rhythm to drive actions and insights against key performance indicators (revenue, pipeline, forecast and customer adoption)
Represent DBtune at industry events and conferences, building relationships with key decision-makers
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in sales leadership to Fortune 1000 accounts, preferably in B2B SaaS, cloud, or database technologies
Proven ability to drive revenue growth and exceed targets
Strong understanding of database and cloud technologies
Experience hiring, coaching, and scaling sales teams in a fast-paced environment
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work with technical teams and translate complex solutions into business value
Strong leadership skills that can rally a team to consistently execute at a high level
Ability to present at industry conferences, webinars, and customer events
Nice to have:
Experience selling AI-driven, DevOps, or performance optimization solutions
Familiarity with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Prior experience in a fast-growing startup deep-tech company
Network in the database, cloud, or enterprise software industry
Experience with partnerships, channel sales, or strategic alliances
Knowledge of sales automation tools, CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), and data-driven sales strategies
