Job Description:

We are looking for a Head of Sales to lead our growth efforts. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will be responsible for developing and executing our sales strategy, building a world-class sales team, and driving revenue growth. As the Head of Sales, you will work closely with marketing and engineering to expand DBtune’s market presence, attract enterprise and mid-market customers, and establish scalable sales processes. You will play a crucial role in shaping our go-to-market strategy, optimizing sales operations, and positioning DBtune as the leading solution for AI-driven PostgreSQL tuning. You will report directly to the CEO. You will travel up to 30% of the time to meet clients and attend conferences.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue and market adoption and consistently deliver on quota accountability (New, Upsell and Renewal)
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on enterprise and mid-market customers
  • Closing deals yourself, this is not yet a pure manager role
  • Build and lead a GTM team consisting of SDRs, AEs and partner managers in line with the achieving of the company's business plan
  • Work closely with marketing and product teams to refine positioning and messaging
  • Establish and optimize sales processes, sales tools and lead an effective business rhythm to drive actions and insights against key performance indicators (revenue, pipeline, forecast and customer adoption)
  • Represent DBtune at industry events and conferences, building relationships with key decision-makers

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership to Fortune 1000 accounts, preferably in B2B SaaS, cloud, or database technologies
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and exceed targets
  • Strong understanding of database and cloud technologies
  • Experience hiring, coaching, and scaling sales teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work with technical teams and translate complex solutions into business value
  • Strong leadership skills that can rally a team to consistently execute at a high level
  • Ability to present at industry conferences, webinars, and customer events

Nice to have:

  • Experience selling AI-driven, DevOps, or performance optimization solutions
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Prior experience in a fast-growing startup deep-tech company
  • Network in the database, cloud, or enterprise software industry
  • Experience with partnerships, channel sales, or strategic alliances
  • Knowledge of sales automation tools, CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), and data-driven sales strategies
