Job Description:

Head of Asia Sales role to drive Telstra Broadcast Services business development and achievement of sales targets for the Asia region, leading media customer acquisition, experience and retention within a global telecommunications and technology company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead development and implementation of segment/portfolio specific sales strategies
  • Make strong contribution to team capability development and coaching
  • Make decisions related to team planning across all functions
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on performance of sales across portfolio
  • Engage and collaborate with team members and key stakeholders
  • Apply deep expertise in best practice sales methodology
  • Take innovative approach to identifying alternative business models
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead business development teams for TBS' professional media portfolio across Asia
  • Develop and execute sales strategies across the region
  • Leverage professional network to identify growth opportunities
  • Build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide thought leadership for product and technology strategy

Requirements:

  • Recognised as an industry expert in professional media and broadcast services
  • Proven experience leading a team of sales professionals
  • Deep knowledge of broadcast operations, media and broadcast products and workflows
  • Experience with delivery of high value live entertainment and sports content
  • Good understanding of global content transport and value-added services
  • Highly successful in consultative selling and customer solution selling skills
  • Strong industry network with existing relationships across broadcast and sports industry in Asia
  • Documented track record of driving growth in established and new markets
  • Proven ability to lead strategic presentations to C-level Executives
