For our client an international pharmaceutical company we are looking for experienced leader, who will be responsible for shaping and executing brand and portfolio strategy for prescribed medicines. This leader drives impactful HCP engagement and trade activation, while leading strategic initiatives to protect, differentiate, and unlock value from established assets.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and lead commercial strategy for the full Rx portfolio
  • Prioritize resource allocation and marketing investments across brands and lifecycle stages
  • Identify new growth opportunities through repositioning, adjacent indications, or BD partnerships
  • Lead cross-functional strategy to defend and differentiate key legacy brands in the face of evolving competition
  • Develop integrated specialist, GP, and trade plans to sustain volume and share
  • Monitor market trends and adjust plans to protect long-term brand equity and commercial performance
  • Oversee omnichannel planning and field force enablement for impactful HCP and pharmacy engagement
  • Guide messaging, content, and promotional material development across the portfolio
  • Ensure compliance, operational readiness, and campaign impact measurement
  • Lead and coach a team of Brand Managers, fostering ownership and accountability
  • Actively support development plans and capability growth aligned with marketing excellence
  • Serve as a role model for local brand planning, insight generation, and collaboration
  • Actively contribute to the Country Leadership Team and overall business strategy
  • Partner with Sales, Medical, Trade, Regulatory, and Commercial Excellence to drive aligned execution
  • Lead commercial input into launch planning, lifecycle transitions, and BD evaluations
  • Partner with the consumer health business to ensure integration and synergy of Rx and CHC efforts—especially in shared channels (GPs, pharmacies), messaging coherence, and joint campaigns
  • Act as the key local contact for Global Marketing, Global Commercial Excellence and Regional Commercial leadership, ensuring alignment of strategies, sharing insights, and influencing portfolio decisions
  • Monitor portfolio KPIs (sales, MS%, campaign ROI, profitability) and ensure execution discipline
  • Leverage data, CRM, and insights to adjust plans and mitigate risks
  • Support budget cycles and contribute to strategic forecasting and business reviews

Requirements:

  • University degree in Marketing, Business, Pharmacy, Medicine or Life Sciences
  • MBA or advanced business education is an advantage
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical marketing, ideally in both local and regional roles
  • Strong track record in driving growth of mature / legacy Rx brands through lifecycle management, customer activation, and competitive defense
  • Experience in GP and pharmacy channel activation, advertising/media strategy, and trade collaboration is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and deliver business development (BD) or portfolio expansion opportunities
  • Proven success in leading and developing marketing teams
  • experience in managing Brand Managers or equivalent roles
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work cross-functionally with Sales, Medical, Regulatory, and Finance
  • Fluent in English
  • additional languages are a plus
