Job Description:

We’re looking for a Head of Resort Safety to join our team at our Bognor resort. Always focused on giving our guests an amazing experience every time. As with all roles at Butlin’s, no day will be the same and you will need to enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck in, and ensuring that our guest experience is always your number one priority.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the safety and security of all Guests and Team Members within the Butlin’s resort
  • Leading a team to manage a 24/7 operation
  • Implementing safety protocols, risk assessments, and coordinating emergency response plans
  • Conducting drills and exercises to test effectiveness of plans
  • Collaborating and liaising with external agencies, local law enforcement, fire departments, and other authorities to ensure effective coordination during emergency situations
  • Ensuring all legal & safety requirements are adhered to in scheduling of team and external agency rostering
  • Supporting the effective delivery and operation of licenced venues, cash handling/transportation and ratios of guests and team
  • Managing a successful team
  • Ensuring team’s fulfilment at work
  • Conducting regular 121s and PDP discussions to support team development and hold team accountable for objectives

Requirements:

  • Passionate leader with exceptional knowledge and solid experience in security procedures and protocols
  • Techniques for de-escalating conflicts, managing difficult situations, and resolving disputes calmly and professionally
  • Ability to set strategic direction while being involved in day-to-day operations
  • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to the security industry, including the rights and responsibilities of security team members
