Having started with Year 7 only in 2023, we welcomed a second cohort in 2024 and a third in 2025 , which will grow year on year to reach a capacity of 900 young people. Oasis Academy Daventry Road will deliver high quality teaching in an environment where every child is valued and supported to succeed. We will work to develop the character and competence of all young people, in pursuit of everyone receiving an exceptional education and reaching their full potential both in learning and in life.
Job Responsibility
Lead and manage the Religious Studies department, maintaining high standards and continuity during the maternity leave period
Teach RE across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering deep understanding of worldviews, ethics, and belief systems
Contribute to the wider Humanities faculty, supporting interdisciplinary projects and shared planning
Engage in whole-school life and support the Academy’s inclusive, values-led culture
Requirements
Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Religious Studies
Can take on departmental leadership and maintain high expectations
Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a commitment to inclusive and reflective teaching
Can collaborate with Humanities colleagues and contribute to a cohesive faculty vision
Brings creativity, compassion, and professionalism to all aspects of school life
