You'll create and scale the workplace experience that enables Gamma's team to do their best work as we grow rapidly. This means owning our real estate strategy, office operations, and workplace programs—from lease negotiations and space planning to daily hospitality and building a culture of in-person collaboration. You'll ensure our San Francisco office and future locations are welcoming, functional, and designed to support creativity, focus, and connection. As Head of Real Estate and Workplace Operations, you'll lead the strategy and execution across facilities management, vendor relationships, office design and construction, health and safety, food and hospitality programs, and workspace planning. You'll partner closely with Finance, People, IT, and leadership to align workplace strategy with business growth while managing budgets, building a high-performing team, and creating spaces that reflect Gamma's culture and values.
Job Responsibility:
Own Gamma's real estate strategy including lease negotiations, site selection, space planning, and expansion as we scale
Lead workplace operations and hospitality including facilities management, food programs, office supplies, and daily operations
Oversee office design and construction projects, partnering with architects and contractors to create inspiring workspaces
Manage vendor relationships and contracts for facilities services, building maintenance, security, cleaning, and catering
Establish health, safety, and security protocols that protect employees while maintaining a welcoming environment
Build and mentor a workplace operations team as we grow, fostering a hospitality-focused, service-oriented culture
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in workplace operations, facilities management, or real estate in fast-paced, high-growth tech environments
Proven experience managing real estate transactions, lease negotiations, and expansion projects
Strong leadership and team-building skills with ability to manage diverse workplace and facilities teams
Project management excellence with ability to oversee design and construction projects from planning through completion
Budget management experience with ability to optimize costs while maintaining exceptional workplace experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to partner across all levels of the organization
Strong operational mindset with attention to detail and commitment to creating welcoming, functional workspaces
Experience scaling workplace operations from small teams to hundreds of employees
Nice to have:
