Job Description
To provide strategic leadership and operational management for the Council's Reablement and Independence services within Adult Social Care. The postholder will ensure high standards of professional practice and expertise across the service portfolio and ensure the Council fulfils its statutory responsibilities.

Provide strategic leadership and operational management for Council's Reablement and Independence services within Adult Social Care
Ensure high standards of professional practice and expertise across service portfolio
Ensure Council fulfills statutory responsibilities
Lead and manage key services including Occupational Therapy, Equipment Services, Hospital Discharge and Independent Living services
Ensure residents are supported to live independently and safely within their communities
Champion excellence in practice
Ensure effective hospital discharge pathways
Lead development and delivery of innovative services that promote independence, prevention and strengths-based practice
Drive transformation and continuous improvement across services
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners including NHS, voluntary sector and other statutory agencies to improve outcomes for residents
Ensure services operate in line with statutory duties, regulatory frameworks and professional standards including compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) and other relevant bodies
Requirements
Strategic leadership and operational management experience
High standards of professional practice and expertise
Experience in Adult Social Care services
Experience in Occupational Therapy, Equipment Services, Hospital Discharge and Independent Living services
Experience driving transformation and continuous improvement
Experience working with internal teams and external partners including NHS, voluntary sector and statutory agencies
Knowledge of statutory duties, regulatory frameworks and professional standards including Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliance
Enhanced DBS requirement
Valid right to work in the UK
