Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Quality / Regional Quality Lead to oversee quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and governance across multiple home care services. This is a senior management position responsible for driving quality standards, ensuring CQC compliance, implementing audit frameworks, and supporting Registered Managers across a multi-site region. The role covers approximately 13 registered domiciliary care services and extra care schemes across the North East and additional services further south.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead quality assurance and regulatory compliance across multiple home care branches
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards
  • Maintain continuous CQC inspection readiness
  • Design, implement and manage structured audit frameworks
  • Conduct audits, dip tests and compliance reviews
  • Develop and drive action plans to completion
  • Oversee incident and complaint investigations, including root cause analysis
  • Monitor risk registers and governance frameworks
  • Analyse performance data (including KPI trends) to identify improvement areas
  • Support and coach Registered Managers and operational leaders
  • Embed new quality systems and compliance processes where required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quality and compliance within home care or domiciliary care
  • Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and inspection processes
  • Multi-site or regional quality management experience
  • Experience designing and implementing audit frameworks
  • Ability to develop, implement and track action plans
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence operational teams without direct line authority
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly

Nice to have:

  • ISO audit experience or lead auditor training
  • Change management experience
  • Experience using digital care systems or audit platforms
  • Level 5 Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care
