The Head of Quality Planning and POA Conformance will lead the development and implementation of quality strategies and processes to ensure full compliance with Production Organisation Approval (POA) requirements across all manufacturing operations at Airbus Aerostructures S.R.L.
Job Responsibility
Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with EASA Part 21G and other relevant regulatory requirements
Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of all quality assurance activities, including industrialization, inspections planning, audits, and change management within POA framework
Ensure full and continuous compliance with Production Organisation Approval (POA) requirements, acting as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities regarding POA matters
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department and across the manufacturing value chain, utilizing lean methodologies and best practices
Manage and mentor a team of quality engineers, fostering a culture of quality excellence and continuous learning
Collaborate closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and other departments to integrate quality considerations throughout the product lifecycle
Develop and analyze key quality performance indicators (KPIs), reporting on quality trends, risks, and improvement opportunities to senior management
Oversee the management of root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for all quality issues
Prepare for and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and procedures are in place and adhered to
Stay abreast of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to aerospace manufacturing and quality assurance
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in quality management/planning within the manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
In-depth knowledge and practical experience with EASA Part 21G Production Organisation Approval (POA) regulations and requirements are preffered
Proven track record of developing, implementing, and maintaining robust Quality Management Systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001)
Strong understanding of quality methodologies and tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma)
Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing quality teams
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Fluency in English and Romanian is required, knowledge of German is a plus
Auditor certification (e.g., AS9100 Lead Auditor) is highly desirable
