We are recruiting an experienced Head of Quality & Compliance to lead quality, governance, and regulatory compliance across a large, multi-site care organisation delivering live-in and domiciliary care services across England and Scotland. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for inspection readiness, quality strategy, and continuous improvement across a complex, regulated care environment.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and oversee quality, compliance, and clinical governance across multiple registrations
Ensure services are inspection-ready and compliant with CQC standards and the Single Assessment Framework
Develop and implement a quality and compliance strategy aligned to business growth
Lead and manage a quality team, including quality leads and a clinical lead
Provide visible leadership through regular field visits across services nationally
Support and challenge operational teams to maintain high standards of care
Oversee safeguarding, incidents, audits, and regulatory reporting
Ensure quality supports growth rather than becoming a barrier to service development
Contribute at senior leadership level and work closely with executive stakeholders
Requirements:
Senior-level experience in quality and compliance within regulated care
Proven experience leading CQC inspections
Strong understanding of CQC regulations, quality statements, and governance frameworks
Experience overseeing multiple services or registrations
Confident people leader with experience managing and developing quality teams
Ability to operate both strategically and operationally
Strong decision-making skills and ability to hold senior stakeholders to account
Willingness to travel nationally and maintain a visible presence in services
Nice to have:
Background in live-in care, domiciliary care, supported living, mental health, or complex care
Clinical or nursing background (desirable but not essential)
Experience working with electronic quality systems and care management platforms
Track record of achieving or maintaining Good or Outstanding inspection outcomes
