We are looking for a Head of QA to lead and scale the quality assurance function across all platforms. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise: defining and executing the QA vision, guiding a focused team of 3–4 QA professionals, and driving the adoption of AI-powered testing practices. Our platform supports payment orchestration, compliance automation, and multi-brand gaming operations, where quality is mission-critical. As Head of QA, you will transform the quality function from reactive to proactive, owning the QA organisation end-to-end and ensuring quality is embedded across the entire engineering lifecycle.
Job Responsibility:
Define and implement the organisation-wide QA strategy, approach, and roadmap
Act as the primary escalation point for QA-related issues, providing risk assessments and mitigation strategies
Oversee test planning, execution, reporting, and root-cause analysis for all releases
Establish and monitor QA KPIs to measure product quality and drive data-driven improvements
Advocate for quality across the entire software lifecycle—from design through post-release monitoring
Partner closely with Engineering, DevOps, and Product to enable shift-left testing and continuous delivery
Introduce and champion testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies, including AI-powered testing platforms
Define and monitor reliability goals such as uptime SLAs and incident-reduction targets
Lead, mentor, and develop a small QA team
Drive performance management, career development, and skills growth
Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and AI-augmented quality practices across the wider engineering organisation
Provide hands-on technical guidance on test automation, CI/CD integration, performance testing, and release validation
Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and tools across all delivery teams
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
Champion API testing, microservices testing, and end-to-end testing strategies
Evaluate and adopt AI-powered testing tools
Leverage generative AI for test case generation, defect analysis, and predictive test selection while staying current with emerging AI-in-QA trends
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
At least 1–2 years in a leadership or team lead role (QA Lead, QA Manager, or equivalent)
Experience leading or managing a QA team
Experience in regulated industries such as gaming, fintech, or healthcare with strong compliance awareness
Proven ability to implement QA strategies or frameworks from scratch or through transformation initiatives
Strong understanding of testing methodologies including functional, non-functional, automation, performance, and security testing
Hands-on experience with modern QA tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions
Strong understanding of CI/CD integration, automation frameworks, and release pipelines
Experience working with microservices architectures, cloud environments (AWS/GCP), and API testing
Proficiency in defect management, test metrics, risk-based testing, and process optimisation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strategic mindset with strong analytical thinking
Professional-level English communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice to have:
Experience with payment systems, gaming integrations, or multi-jurisdictional compliance
Experience working with microservices architectures, cloud environments, and API-driven platforms
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices
ISTQB Advanced certification or equivalent
Hands-on experience with AI-powered testing tools such as Katalon, Mabl, Testim, or Applitools
Experience using generative AI to support test creation and maintenance
Demonstrated track record of adopting emerging technologies and driving innovation in QA organisations
