Job Description:

The Head of QA is responsible for defining and executing the QA strategy and approach for our products, encompassing strategic planning, process design, and hands-on expertise throughout the product development lifecycle. You’ll lead and grow our small but mighty QA function - setting the vision for quality, guiding and developing the team, and collaborating closely with our Engineering leadership. This role combines leadership and individual contribution: you’ll provide ongoing direction, mentorship, and coaching while remaining actively involved in building automation frameworks, using AI-powered testing capabilities where they add clear value, writing tests, and executing test plans.

Job Responsibility:

Define and execute the overall QA strategy and processes across all products, incorporating pragmatic AI-assisted testing and analysis
Own both manual and automated testing, including release and deployment validation
Build, refine, and maintain QA automation frameworks
Lead, mentor, and support the growth of the QA team
Manage QA staging environments and partner with DevOps on CI/CD improvements
Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to ensure quality standards are embedded throughout development
Drive continuous improvement through better tooling, process design, and reporting
Monitor test results, defects, and root causes, and use insights to improve product quality
Act as the point of contact and escalation for all QA and testing matters
Evaluate and integrate AI-based QA tools into existing workflows

Requirements:

8+ years of software testing experience (SaaS preferred)
2+ years in a QA lead or management role - experience managing small, agile teams is a plus
Proven success in balancing hands-on testing with team leadership and strategy
Expertise with test automation frameworks and tools
Experience in leveraging AI solutions for test case generation, test data management, and quality insights, with a practical, outcome-focused mindset
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and AWS environments
Solid grasp of Agile/Scrum development practices
Track record of improving QA processes and scaling automation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Comfortable evaluating and experimenting with new automation and AI capabilities
