Job Description:

As Head of Public Policy (Benelux & EU), you will report to the VP Northern Europe and set the policy strategy for the Benelux region while leading Voi’s EU policy agenda. In this role, you will drive key regulatory and political processes, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and work closely with local and central teams to ensure Voi remains the obvious choice for cities tendering for micromobility services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Developing and implementing the Benelux and EU policy strategy in collaboration with the VP Northern Europe, the local team and other central stakeholders
  • Leading policy development work by outlining regulatory positions, interpreting new rules and producing clear material for EU and national engagement
  • Working with Analytics and Product teams to strengthen Voi’s evidence base and advocacy positions
  • Identifying, monitoring and preparing for tenders across the region, ensuring the right policy positioning
  • Engage proactively with city and regional authorities to shape upcoming mobility tenders and secure opportunities for participation
  • Collaborating with Product, Operations, Legal, PR and Tender team to align regulatory positions and support readiness for upcoming rules
  • Owning and developing senior political, technical and administrative relationships across the Benelux and within relevant EU institutions
  • Representing Voi in consultations, conferences and working groups, on European and national level, ensuring consistent and professional presentation of Voi’s positions
  • Maintaining oversight of compliance matters in the region and on European level, and preparing internal processes for regulatory change
  • Managing and mentoring the regional policy team, setting goals, supporting development and ensuring alignment with Voi’s strategic priorities
  • Contributing to global policy discussions and sharing insights to support alignment across markets

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Business, Economics, Communications or similar
  • Professional fluency in English and Dutch
  • Experience in public affairs within mobility, transport, tech or other policy-driven sectors
  • Strong understanding of the Benelux and EU political environment and experience influencing regulatory and political processes
  • Ability to use data and evidence in policy development and advocacy
  • Ability to draft regulatory positions, consultation responses and policymaker-facing arguments
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional work with local and central stakeholders
  • Experience managing direct reports and developing teams
