Job Description:

Join us to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. We’re hiring a Head of Product at Neo. You’ll drive both the consumer experience and the risk, underwriting, and servicing infrastructure that supports responsible, scalable credit across millions of Canadians. This is a senior leadership role: you'll own the product strategy, the roadmap, the outcomes and the development of the product team delivering it. This role is about setting a bold vision, building what doesn't yet exist, and scaling what does.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the full-stack lending product portfolio, from customer-facing experiences (e.g. credit cards, loans, installments) to core systems for underwriting, credit risk, and repayment
  • Define and evolve the credit infrastructure that enables fast, compliant, and accurate lending decisions, including decision engines, data pipelines, and risk policy tooling
  • Lead initiatives to improve servicing, collections, and lifecycle management
  • Navigate complex regulatory and reporting requirements (e.g., credit bureau integrations, consumer disclosures) with scalable product solutions
  • Lead, grow, and mentor a team of high-performing product managers
  • Act as the cross-functional glue for your division, collaborating with senior leaders across engineering, design, data, ops, marketing, and executive leadership
  • Translate customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints into clear product strategies, decisions, and trade-offs
  • Own the results
  • Elevate product quality and execution across your teams through strong systems, clear feedback, and day-to-day coaching
  • Champion a culture of speed, ownership, and learning
  • Represent product in strategic conversations with exec leadership, external partners, and investors

Requirements:

  • 8–12+ years of product management experience
  • 4+ years in a senior leadership role (e.g., leading other PMs or a product org)
  • Experience building and leading product teams in high-growth environments, ideally with both 0→1 and scale experience
  • Strategic thinker who can move between long-term planning and in-the-weeds execution
  • Strong product judgment, clear systems thinking, and a bias toward action
  • Experience leading cross-functional workstreams that include technical complexity, ambiguous problems, and diverse stakeholder input
  • Deep care about talent: hiring the right people, growing them fast, and building a healthy, high-performing team
  • Ability to lead with influence, not just authority
  • Comfort making bold bets and adapting quickly when the facts change
  • Domain experience in lending, banking or Fintech is a strong asset

Nice to have:

Domain experience in lending, banking or Fintech

What we offer:

All team members have a stake in Neo’s success and earn meaningful equity through stock options
