Job Description:

This role at HSBC Life involves leading product delivery from ideation to post-launch stabilization, coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving governance frameworks. The position requires extensive experience in life insurance or financial services, strong management skills, and familiarity with insurance systems and regulatory environments.

Job Responsibility:

  • Take full ownership of product delivery from ideation to post-launch stabilization
  • Translate product roadmap priorities into actionable delivery plans, ensuring alignment with business timelines and commercial goals
  • Lead all aspects of product implementation including planning, design integration, drafting user stories, planning/budgeting, business readiness, operational enablement, and system configuration
  • Establish and maintain an integrated implementation calendar aligned with the product roadmap and enterprise project portfolio
  • Drive disciplined tracking of timelines, deliverables, and dependencies, with proactive mitigation of risks or blockers
  • Serve as the central point of coordination between the Product Division, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance, Distribution, and Marketing for product rollouts
  • Lead cross-functional working groups and product squads to ensure clear ownership, accountability, and progress against milestones
  • Implement strong governance frameworks and issue escalation protocols to safeguard delivery timelines, budget, controls, and regulatory integrity
  • Ensure all product launches meet regulatory, risk, compliance, and audit requirements in Singapore
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing implementation team (including project managers and business analysts) to drive ownership and excellence in delivery

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the life insurance or financial services sector, with substantial experience in managing large teams and delivery leadership roles
  • Strong experience in managing product delivery pipelines, time-bound implementation schedules, and cross-functional product programs
  • Familiarity with life insurance systems (e.g., policy admin, quotation engines, digital platforms) and regulatory environments in Singapore
  • Demonstrated success in managing delivery for both traditional and digital insurance products
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Actuarial, Finance, or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, or Prince2 certification is a plus
  • Highly structured, organized, results-oriented, details driven, and adept at driving accountability in delivery teams
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level reporting
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline and the ability to handle multiple concurrent product initiatives without sacrificing quality or timelines. Strong influencing skills and ability to lead and manage in a matrixed and fast-paced environment
