Job Description:

The Head of Procurement DACH at NTT DATA is a pivotal role responsible for leading the procurement team and ensuring alignment with global strategies. The Head of Procurement (f/m/d) is responsible for leading the local procurement organization within an international IT services company. This role ensures efficient and compliant purchasing operations while driving strategic initiatives to align local procurement with the global organization. The position plays a key role in harmonizing procurement processes, IT systems, and supplier management across the DACH region, contributing directly to the company’s overall performance and value creation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and develop the local procurement team in DACH across the legal entities, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Manage day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and value for money
  • Ensure seamless integration of the local procurement function into the European and global procurement organization
  • Implement global sourcing strategies, policies, and standards at the local level
  • Act as a key liaison between local management and the European and Global procurement leadership team
  • Contribute actively to the global harmonization of procurement processes, tools, and IT systems in the DACH region
  • Support digital transformation initiatives in procurement, ensuring alignment with global system architectures and processes
  • Raise synergies on subregional level across the different legal entities
  • Develop and implement category strategies to achieve cost savings, improve supplier performance, and reduce operational risks
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement effectiveness and contribution to business success
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize procurement’s contribution to project delivery and profitability
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements
  • Promote sustainability, diversity, and risk management in procurement decisions and supplier selection

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement leadership, ideally within an international or IT services environment
  • Proven track record of driving transformation and integration projects across multiple countries or business units
  • Strong understanding of procurement systems and process optimization
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills in both English and German
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability and a strong results orientation
