Job Description

A new opportunity has opened up for a Head of PMO at Argenta Dundee. This role will lead the site's PMO function and oversee the successful delivery of strategically important projects, ensuring robust governance, effective resource planning, stakeholder alignment, and consistent application of project management best practice. The role also supports business growth through leadership of project planning, portfolio oversight, and contribution to proposals and new business opportunities.

Job Responsibility

  • Key member of Site Leadership Team (SLT). Works with SLT to develop site strategy, implement site performance KPI’s, and translate these into specific annual performance goals
  • Oversee the preparation of RFP responses for the site to the commercial operations team to meet Argenta and customer deadlines for response
  • Implements safe and GMP compliant working practices in the function, and ensures team perform their duties accordingly
  • Evaluates and reviews all the project documentation with regard to schedule, budget and resources
  • and ensures that technical matters as related to the project are applied
  • Negotiates with key stakeholders to gain acceptance of each plan including timelines and resource commitments
  • Liaises with client/project sponsor to ensure regular updates, questions/concerns are addressed and any changes in project scope are identified and addressed, and requirements are met
  • Models and instils a commitment to company values, creates and promotes a positive work environment and fosters teamwork across site
  • Support/manage key projects as required
  • Work with PMs to ensure effective communication strategy with project team, internal stakeholders and clients
  • Supports PMs to Identify, prioritize and managing risks and issues
  • resolving and escalating as appropriate
  • Tracks achievement of milestones
  • Identifies PM resource constraints across multiple projects and work with sponsors, customers and managers to negotiate the best outcomes
  • Supports PMs to liaise with client and project sponsor to ensure regular updates, questions / concerns addressed, and requirements are met
  • Ensure PMs lead lessons learnt sessions internally and with the client at appropriate times during the project lifecycle

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Formal project management qualifications eg. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or PRINCE2
  • Formal Project Management experience
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment would be advantageous, ideally involving cGMP compliance and/or development projects targeted at regulatory agencies in developed markets such as EU and USA
  • Pharmaceutical, laboratory or related environment awareness is preferred
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong stakeholder management skills (including influencing and negotiating)
  • Experience with common project management software and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Ability to prioritise competing needs with limited resources
