Job Description:

Atlassian is seeking a Head of Finance, PMO to oversee our cross-functional Portfolio of Finance projects and ensure they align with our department's strategic objectives. You will report directly to our Head of Finance Transformation and Portfolio Delivery. Our team comprises people with diverse backgrounds in Finance, Technology, Strategic Operations, and Program Management. Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the portfolio of projects across Finance, ensuring overall alignment with the department's strategic goals
  • Drive the creation of a streamlined Finance intake process, establish a prioritization process, set intake standards, and oversee department impact assessments
  • Bring a product-oriented mindset, aiming to create simple, scalable portfolio processes that are effective, easy to use, and maintain for end users
  • Establish, lead, and implement annual and quarterly project planning processes
  • Establish and oversee operating rhythms for the Finance department that ensure portfolio and project-level reporting is up-to-date
  • Conduct regular portfolio-level business reviews to assess progress, risks, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Assist department in defining, tracking, and reporting on OKRs and metrics for project management, and portfolio performance
  • Develop and implement quality standards for project management processes, tools, templates, and policies. Provide ongoing department training on best practices and establish governance mechanisms
  • Coach, mentor, and oversee portfolio and project management resources in a direct and indirect reporting structure

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in project or portfolio management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a PMO or similar function
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)), ideally with a PMI Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) certification
  • Proficiency utilizing data to drive strategic decision-making and portfolio optimization
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects and portfolios
  • Proficiency in Atlassian project management software and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and manage a high‐performing team
