As Head of Platforms Sales, Australia and New Zealand, you'll play an instrumental role in fueling growth at Stripe in the region through new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts. You'll lead and coach high-performing sales executives to hit ambitious targets, while also taking a hands-on approach to running strategic, C-suite conversations and closing large, transformative deals. You'll own go-to-market execution for the segment, partnering closely with sales leadership, marketing, product, and PMM to align strategy, refine motions, and ensure seamless execution from pipeline generation through to renewal and expansion.
Job Responsibility
Recruit, develop, and lead a team of sales professionals, with a particular focus on the Platform segment across Australia and New Zealand
Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team and manage day-to-day operations, with a focus on performance against key sales metrics
Be accountable for increasing revenue and new client acquisition at high rates of growth
Drive deal strategy and execution including strong pipeline development, opportunity and renewal management, and forecasting
Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycle
Play a personal and direct role in building and maintaining enduring customer relationships, up to C-level
Inspire, motivate, and enable personal and career development of team members, both to promote career growth and to increase impact for Stripe
Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Sales, Product and Connect, Sales Ops, S&O, Marketing, GTM Partnerships, and others
Participate in industry events to help support positive market awareness
Requirements
12+ years of relevant sales experience, 4+ years of people management experience
Experience working with the Australia and New Zealand markets
Experience consistently forecasting and managing a high-growth business for multiple quarters
Thrives in settings with a high level of autonomy to create strategy, direction, and structure
Ability to hire, train, and coach a high-performance sales team
Ability to build executive relationships with customers and ecosystem partners
Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry or business-relevant terms
