Job Description:

We are seeking a Head of Placements and Corporate Relations to lead the Placement & Corporate Interface function. This is a leadership role that requires a strategic mindset, a strong corporate network, and the ability to drive results. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in building and sustaining relationships with top recruiters, ensuring stellar placement outcomes, and enhancing the industry presence of the institute.

Job Responsibility:

  • Strategic Leadership: Design and implement placement strategies that align with the institutes vision and market trends
  • Corporate Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with top-tier companies, startups, and public sector enterprises for placements, internships, and live projects
  • Organize industry conclaves, guest lectures, and other corporate interactions to increase engagement
  • Placement Operations: Oversee the entire placement process, from pre-placement talks to final offers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for both recruiters and students
  • Student Readiness: Work closely with faculty and training partners to groom students to meet industry expectations
  • Mentor students on career choices, profile building, and industry expectations
  • Alumni Engagement: Leverage the alumni network for placement support, mentorship, and networking opportunities
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track placement metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present insights to leadership and stakeholders
  • Quantitative Targets: Ensure the placement of 360 students for final placements and 360 students for summer internships
  • Increase the median salary of the placed batch compared to the previous year

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree (preferably an MBA or equivalent) from a reputed institution
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate relations, placements, business development, or HR, ideally within a reputed academic institution or corporate setting
  • Strong network across various industries (FMCG, BFSI, IT/ITES, Consulting, Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • A strategic thinker with a result-oriented approach
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams
