Seeking an exceptional Head of Philanthropy to provide strategic and inspirational leadership across our major giving, high-net-worth, trusts and foundations and corporate fundraising portfolio. Shape the future of philanthropy and help extend our impact across Australia.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the strategy and execution of fundraising growth across Major Donors, High Net Worth individuals, Trusts & Foundations and Corporate partners
  • Build and steward deep, long-term relationships with senior donors, partners and stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Service Delivery, Strategy, Support Services and Wesley Congregational Life to develop compelling cases for support and fundraising programmes
  • Provide strong, values-led leadership and day-to-day management of the philanthropy team
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, performance excellence and supporter-centred practice
  • Act as a senior ambassador for Wesley Mission, representing the organisation with credibility and influence
  • Embed Wesley Mission’s Word and deed in all aspects of philanthropy and leadership

Requirements

  • Extensive senior-level experience (15+ years) leading successful philanthropy or major giving strategies
  • A proven track record of fundraising growth across major donors, HNW, trusts & foundations and corporate giving
  • Strong stakeholder management capability at Board, executive and C-suite level
  • Deep expertise in relationship management, supporter journeys, CRM and data-informed decision-making
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing fundraising teams
  • Sound financial acumen including budget development and management
  • Exceptional communication skills, integrity and emotional maturity
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or a related discipline
  • A personal commitment to Wesley Mission’s mission of Continuing the work of Jesus Christ in Word and deed
