As the Head of Performing Arts, you will be the driving force behind our creative curriculum and extra-curricular showcase.

Job Responsibility:

  • Directing high-caliber performances and managing the department with a focus on raising achievement and 'value-added' results
  • Delivering 'Good' or 'Outstanding' GCSE lessons and mentoring staff to do the same
  • Using data and educational insight to raise standards and prioritize student outcomes
  • Liaising with external stakeholders and using specialist technology to produce professional-grade school productions

Requirements:

  • Degree level education (or equivalent) with QTS
  • Successful track record of teaching GCSE and evidence of raising student achievement
  • Deep knowledge of the National Curriculum, current educational thinking, and technical performance resources
  • Experience in managing change and the ability to motivate others to meet high expectations
  • Exceptional IT literacy and the ability to build mutually supportive relationships with colleagues, parents, and students
