Job Description:

As the Head of People at Turnkey, you will take full ownership of the People function from the COO. You will be the fully independent functional leader responsible for building, scaling, and leading all people-related operations across the company. This includes everything from talent acquisition strategy and People Operations (HRIS, compliance, benefits) to performance management, compensation, and executive coaching. This is a critical, hands-on builder and executor role perfect for an experienced leader who is excited to build a world-class, high-agency culture grounded in scalable processes. You will ensure our People strategy directly supports the business objectives of rapid growth and operational excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and build all People functions (talent, HRBP, People Ops)
  • Own and continually improve performance management, leveling, and compensation frameworks
  • Partner with Finance on headcount planning, compensation strategy, and organizational design
  • Develop managers and support executive leadership growth
  • Build scalable talent acquisition processes and systems
  • Strengthen culture through clarity, programs, and high standards
  • Ensure People operations run smoothly, compliantly, and with minimal bureaucracy
  • Mentor and grow a small but mighty People team

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in People / HR roles
  • 2+ years in a senior leadership position (Head of / VP) at a high-growth technology company
  • Demonstrated experience as an executor and builder who has personally implemented core systems and processes
  • Broad exposure to all aspects of People / HR: talent, HRBP, People Ops, compensation
  • Strong operator: structured, organized, pragmatic, and systems-oriented
  • High agency, first-principles thinker who is comfortable coaching and pushing executives

Nice to have:

  • Experience in fintech, crypto, or B2B SaaS
  • Expert knowledge of employment law and compliance
