Job Description

Made Tech wants to positively impact the country's future by using technology to improve society. To achieve this, we must ensure our people feel as invested in their own growth as they are in our clients' success. We want a workplace where high performance and human support coexist - where the journey from candidate to leader is defined by clear career paths, intentional development, and a culture of belonging. The Head of People Experience is the visionary leader responsible for the human side of our talent and learning strategy. Your mission is to design and deliver a winning end-to-end journey that attracts the best talent and empowers them to do their best work - ultimately enabling Made Tech to grow, and delight our clients. You will oversee the high-impact areas of Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Employee Engagement, ensuring our culture is a truly competitive advantage. By bridging the gap between business goals and individual aspirations, you will create an environment where high performance is standard, leadership is empathetic, and every employee feels a clear sense of purpose and progression.

Job Responsibility

  • Talent Magnetism & Branding: A deep understanding of how to build a compelling employer brand that resonates in a competitive market
  • Coaching & Facilitation: The ability to coach senior leaders and design learning interventions that actually change behaviour, not just tick boxes - embedding a high-performance, supportive culture across all Made Tech teams
  • Human-Centric Design: A mindset focused on user experience, viewing every people touchpoint (from the first interview to the exit) through the eyes of the employee
  • Strategic Talent Planning: The ability to look 12-24 months ahead to identify the skills the business will need and build the ‘buy, build, or borrow’ strategies to get there
  • Talent Mapping & Succession Planning: Lead the business-wide Talent Mapping and segmentation strategy
  • identifying 'high-potential' and 'pivotal-role' talent to ensure the right people are in the right seats, while proactively building external pipelines for future critical skills
  • High Performance Culture that is creatively recognised: Architect a High-Performance Culture that moves beyond traditional reviews to continuous, radical candour
  • designing a creative reward & recognition framework that celebrates impact in unconventional ways - rewarding the behaviours and technical excellence that drive Made Tech’s status as a progressive employer
  • Emotional Intelligence & Influence: Exceptional skills in navigating complex stakeholder relationships and driving cultural change across diverse teams. Act as the primary strategic partner and 'Culture Consultant' to senior leadership
  • building high-trust relationships to deeply understand departmental challenges, aligning people initiatives with business objectives
  • M&A Support: Lead the cultural integration and talent assessment workstream for M&A activity
  • identifying key talent for retention, managing cultural due diligence, and designing the 'Welcome & Belonging' experience for incoming employees to ensure day-one engagement

Requirements

  • Full-Cycle Talent Leadership: Proven experience leading high-performing recruitment teams (including managing at least 3+ recruiters) in a fast-paced environment
  • L&D Transformation: A track record of designing and launching successful leadership development programs or career pathing frameworks
  • Engagement & Retention Strategy: Experience using qualitative and quantitative data to reduce turnover and measurably improve employee engagement scores
  • Apprenticeship & Early Careers: Practical experience in leveraging the Apprenticeship Levy or similar programs to build a diverse talent pipeline
  • Succession & Performance: Experience managing high-performance cycles and identifying "high-potential" talent for succession planning
  • Tech Advocate & Adopter: An obvious desire and ability to source and share innovation in tech to improve the people experience
  • All round HR generalist
  • Empathy and people skills: A genuine care for the people who you work with and those who want to work with us, ensuring they have a great experience and expectations are exceeded

What we offer

  • 30 days Holiday
  • Flexible Parental Leave
  • Remote Working
  • Paid counselling
  • Pension - 8% employer matched
  • Flexible benefit platform which includes a Smart Tech scheme, Cycle to work scheme, and an individual benefits allowance which you can invest in a Health care cash plan or Pension plan
