We are seeking a seasoned and pragmatic Senior HR Business Partner to join our client’s leadership team. This is a transformative role for an individual who thrives on building, shaping, and owning the entire Human Resources function. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to the executive team, responsible for developing the foundational HR infrastructure required to support the company’s ambitious growth plans. This position requires a hands-on leader who can move seamlessly between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution, turning the HR department into a strategic asset that drives organizational effectiveness and fosters a culture of excellence and accountability.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute an HR strategy that aligns with and supports the overall business objectives
Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert counsel on all HR-related matters, including organizational design, talent management, and change management
Contribute actively in strategic meetings, offering HR-driven insights and options to solve business challenges
Design, draft, and implement a comprehensive employee handbook, establishing clear and consistent company policies and procedures
Develop and manage robust compensation and benefits structures, including salary benchmarks and performance-based incentive models
Establish and refine performance management systems, ensuring KPIs are meaningful, fair, and drive desired business outcomes
Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to development, retention, and offboarding
Develop proactive strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention, protecting the company’s talent from a competitive market
Champion a pragmatic, results-driven company culture that values ownership, common sense, and a commitment to the company’s mission
Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations issues, handling them with professionalism and a focus on the company’s best interests
Ensure full compliance with all relevant European labor laws and regulations, particularly in Spain and the Netherlands
Take ownership of drafting, reviewing, and managing all employment contracts and related legal documentation
Requirements:
Proven, extensive experience as a Senior HR Business Partner, Head of HR, or a similar strategic HR leadership role
Demonstrable track record of building an HR function from the ground up, including creating policies, handbooks, and compensation frameworks in a growing company
Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly understand complex business operations and align HR initiatives with strategic goals
A pragmatic, results-oriented mindset with a focus on common-sense solutions over bureaucratic processes
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the gravitas and credibility to act as a trusted advisor to the executive team
In-depth knowledge of European labor law and HR best practices
A high-energy, proactive, and resilient individual who thrives on taking ownership and driving projects to completion
Experience within a fast-growing international technology, medical device, or engineering company is highly desirable
