The Client: Harmonic is super excited to be working with one of the UKs most innovative FMCG challenger brands that are looking for their first Head of Operations. This company have established themselves as a leading D2C challenger brand helping the country with health and wellness. This brand has a strong mission to create products to help promote health conscious, clean and tasty drinks and powders that encourages conscious consumers to stay on track with their health goals. For 10 years, this business has prioritised raw and healthy ingredients and has set out to reimagine popular drinks, powders and snacks in a new age of health prioritisation. The company is fully bootstrapped and scaling rapidly. This business has seen recent turnover of £8m with plans to scale and expand into new markets. The business continues to have exciting new goals such as getting to £15m - £20m in the next 2/3 years given the expansion of the category within the FMCG space. This role is tailored for candidates who enjoy working with autonomy and who are passionate about the dynamic nature of working in an SME, characterised by rapid evolution and growth. We are seeking a proactive and strategic Head of Operations looking to make an immediate impact.
Job Responsibility:
Effectively manage end-to-end supply chain to ensure the company is effectively managing demand and supply, forecasting, production planning, stock managements and procurements
Oversee the company's operations function to ensure all systems, processes and controls are fit for purpose and assist with projected growth
Work directly with the founder to develop both short-term and long-term operational strategies
Be solely responsible for the management and the development of the warehouse and factory ensuring that the team is managed effectively
Take responsibility for the growth of the operations team to ensure that you foster a culture of growth and excellent team management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve resource allocation and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Work closely on relationships with suppliers and retailers to ensure strong long-term partnerships
Represent the organisation externally, participating in investor relations activities, industry events, and strategic partnerships to enhance the organisations visibility and reputation
Requirements:
5+ years within an operations position within a FMCG company
Experience working with a challenger fast-growth company who has gone through a scaling period
Commercially minded
Worked directly with a founder or at a founder-led business
Worked for a D2C brand before
Experience managing a production and warehouse
Experience in leading teams within a high-growth environment
