The Head of Operations will play a critical leadership role within the business, taking full ownership of operational strategy and execution. This role is responsible for ensuring that the company's day-to-day operations run seamlessly while building scalable systems and processes to support future growth. Working closely with the Founder and senior leadership team, the Head of Operations will act as a strategic partner, translating vision into action and ensuring operational excellence across supply chain, logistics, production, and internal processes.
Job Responsibility:
Own and lead the end-to-end operational function of the business
Develop and implement scalable operational strategies to support growth
Oversee supply chain management, production, logistics, and inventory
Manage supplier and manufacturing relationships, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and reliability
Build, optimise, and document operational processes and systems
Lead operational planning, forecasting, and budgeting
Identify risks and inefficiencies, proactively implementing solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, and finance teams
Manage and develop operational team members as the business grows
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Requirements:
Proven experience in an Operations leadership role within a beauty, FMCG, or consumer brand startup/scaleup
Strong understanding of supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics in a product-led business
Experience scaling operations in a fast-growth environment
Strategic mindset with the ability to execute hands-on when required
Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Confident stakeholder management, including suppliers and senior leadership
Based in, or able to commute to, London
Nice to have:
Experience working in a founder-led or entrepreneurial business
Exposure to international supply chains or global expansion
Experience implementing or upgrading operational systems (ERP, inventory tools, etc.)
