A high-performing 11–18 secondary academy in Angel, Islington is seeking an ambitious Head of MFL from September 2026. Located on Prebend Street and part of a well-regarded academy trust with strong links to City, University of London, the school serves around 920 pupils, including a thriving sixth form. Job Responsibility

  • Lead the MFL department as Head of MFL, driving attainment across KS3–KS5
  • Deliver outstanding teaching and model best practice as a Head of MFL
  • Line manage and develop staff within the department
  • Oversee curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental strategy

Requirements

  • UK QTS and strong academic background in a modern foreign language required
  • Proven success teaching MFL and readiness for a Head of MFL role
