Job Responsibility:
Direct the MSS sales team delivering a full range of financial MSS products and solutions from the HSBC Group through multiple customer channels, including payment platforms
Supervise all aspects of a sizeable balance sheet, including investments, transfer pricing and Asset/Liability Management, within the local regulatory requirements and the global HSBC framework
Maintain high level client relationships with Corporate & Institutional Banking clients in Bermuda, supporting them with their international business needs outside of Bermuda
Manage, develop and provide oversight to the HSBC Securities Services business in Bermuda, in line with strategic goals and the global target operating model
Create the MSS business strategy and execute ongoing business plans, ensuring the sustainability of the business and growth of its customer service proposition, providing monthly performance reports to both the local executive management committee and regional functional reporting line
Establish global connectivity with HSBC stakeholders across the Group
Continually reassess the financial and non-financial risks inherent to the business, taking account of economic or market conditions, legal/regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, and the impact of new technology, while ensuring that financial crime risk is mitigated
Be part of the HSBC Bermuda Executive Committee and contribute to the key decision-making process
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in a senior executive role in a Global Markets organisation
Excellent knowledge of derivatives, balance sheet management, market risk issues, treasury products and markets as well as securities services products and services
Significant experience in establishing and maintaining C-Suite level relationships with global institutional and corporate clients
Experience navigating the network of a global organisation to leverage resources and deliver local strategy in a global context and operating environment
Ability to drive change and deliver new products and capabilities
Comprehensive knowledge of Regulatory and Financial Crime compliance and how this impacts daily activities
Strong people management skills with a Diversity and Inclusion mindset
Advanced skills in executive level management, team building, marketing, communications, negotiation, financial analysis and presentation
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite of Products
