As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Marketing to lead marketing across both our Apprenticeships and Academies provision.
Job Responsibility
Lead and deliver the marketing strategy across Apprenticeships and Academies provision
Translate organisational objectives into clear, measurable, and outcome-focused marketing plans
Develop deep market, competitor, and audience insight to inform strategic decision-making
Ensure all activity aligns with brand guidelines, messaging, and strategic priorities
Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, PR, content, events, and partnerships
Lead learner recruitment and enquiry generation activity across both business areas
Ensure propositions are clearly defined, positioned, and communicated to target audiences
Support product launches, new provisions, and commercial initiatives across the group
Work closely with curriculum, engagement, sales, and operational leadership teams to deliver joined-up plans
Act as the senior marketing partner for your business areas, providing clear advice and direction
Ensure strong alignment between marketing activity, sales activity, and delivery models
Direct line management of two apprentices and a marketing executive
Foster a collaborative, inclusive and continuous improvement-focused culture
Provide clear direction, coaching, and development opportunities to build capability
Own and manage marketing budgets, ensuring a strong return on investment
Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance, lead generation, and conversion metrics
Use data and insight to continuously optimise performance and inform future planning
Work closely with CRM and systems teams to improve enquiry handling, automation, and reporting
Introduce and refine automated communications to enhance the learner journey
Identify and implement improvements to marketing processes, systems, and ways of working
Ensure efficiency, scalability, and consistency across all marketing activities
Ensure GDPR, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance across all marketing activity
Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and data protection
Collaborate with the wider marketing team to share best practices and drive consistency
Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement across the marketing function
Act in line with company values and expected behaviours
Promote equality, diversity and inclusion across all areas of work
Comply with Safeguarding, Prevent and Health & Safety policies
Provide support, advice and guidance to learners, customers and colleagues
Requirements
Proven experience in a senior marketing role with strategic responsibility
Experience leading marketing across multiple products, audiences, or business areas
Strong understanding of the full marketing mix and channel integration
Experience managing teams and influencing a wide range of stakeholders
Commercial mindset with a focus on performance, growth, and ROI
Experience delivering multi-channel campaigns across digital, PR, and events
Strong project management and organisational skills
Nice to have
Experience within Further Education, Apprenticeships, or the training sector
Experience working within a complex or regulated environment
Marketing or CIM qualification (Level 5 or above)
