This is Venn’s first marketing hire and a foundational role in shaping how the company is positioned, understood, and trusted as we scale. We are looking for a hands on Head of Marketing to own and build Venn’s marketing from the ground up. This is not a strategy only role. You will be directly responsible for defining Venn’s identity, leading product marketing and launches, creating core narratives, and putting a clear stamp on how Venn shows up in the world. You will take what Venn already has, including a strong product, rapid growth, and passionate customers, and turn it into a cohesive brand and marketing engine with a clear and differentiated point of view, while partnering closely with Growth, Sales, Product, and Design to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization. You will operate hands on initially, owning both strategy and execution, while laying the foundation to build and lead a high performing marketing team over time and work very closely with our Head of Growth.
Job Responsibility:
Define and evolve Venn’s identity by establishing a clear, differentiated brand voice and positioning across all customer facing touchpoints
Own product marketing end to end including positioning, messaging, launches, website copy, and sales enablement
Create repeatable narratives and formats that customers recognize and trust across brand, product marketing, and content
Translate complex financial products into simple, credible stories for founders, operators, and partners
Shape how Venn shows up in the market to ensure our story reaches the right audiences through launches, content, and events
Build marketing that turns attention into trust, conviction, and customer action
Own events and field marketing to deepen relationships and establish Venn as a long term platform in Canadian fintech
Set and maintain a high bar for quality, taste, and consistency in close partnership with Design
Partner closely with Growth, Sales, Product, and Design to ensure cohesion and alignment across the organization
Requirements:
8+ years of experience
At least 3+ years managing a team in high-growth B2B, SaaS, or fintech
A proven track record of positioning and launching complex B2B products clearly and effectively
Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional editorial judgment and taste
Experience working cross functionally with Product, Design, Sales, and other teams
Comfort operating in fast paced, ambiguous environments with high ownership and accountability
Ability to think strategically while remaining hands on and execution focused
Nice to have:
Experience in fintech, financial services, or other regulated industries
Experience at an early stage or high growth startup
Experience building marketing foundations or teams from the ground up
