The Head of Marketing leads the overall marketing strategy, brand performance, and portfolio growth for Theramex UK, managing a team of Senior Brand Managers and Franchise Leads. The role sets strategic direction, provides people leadership, and drives cross‑functional alignment to ensure best‑in‑class execution across the full product lifecycle - from pre‑launch to maturity - while shaping the future portfolio through business development and market insights.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the UK marketing strategy and brand vision across the full portfolio, aligned with global and UK priorities
Drive pre‑launch and launch plans for new products with clear objectives, metrics, and resource planning
Oversee in‑market brand performance and optimise lifecycle strategies to meet commercial goals
Identify and shape business development opportunities in partnership with GM, Medical, and Global teams
Lead market‑shaping activity, including KOL engagement, guideline influence, and disease‑awareness initiatives
Lead, coach, and develop the marketing team, building a high‑performance, collaborative culture
Build marketing capability across the organisation and champion best practice and innovation
Ensure high‑quality execution of campaigns, events, digital activity, PR, social, and direct‑to‑market work
Adapt global and UK‑led campaigns for local relevance while maintaining brand consistency
Provide strategic oversight for agencies and external partners
Align marketing strategy with Sales execution and support development of tools and training
Partner with Medical, Market Access, and Compliance to ensure scientific robustness and compliance
Manage relationships with KOLs, agencies, speakers, and congress organisers
Oversee speaker programmes, advisory boards, and national/international congress presence
Monitor competitive landscape, market dynamics, and customer insights to inform strategy
Contribute to global brand and campaign strategy and lead global projects as needed
Share best practice and insights with HQ and smaller affiliates
Role‑model the Theramex culture and act as a visible senior leader influencing wider business strategy
Maintain a regular on‑site presence to support leadership, collaboration, and cross‑functional alignment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) desirable
Extensive experience in UK pharmaceuticals or specialty healthcare experience with strong commercial leadership
extensive experience in a people-leadership role, including coaching, performance management, and talent development
Extensive brand, franchise, and portfolio marketing experience across pre‑launch, launch, and lifecycle phases
Skilled in strategic brand/portfolio planning aligned to UK market dynamics and NHS priorities
Experienced in leading complex projects in highly regulated environments
Strong capability in customer‑centric marketing, market shaping, and stakeholder engagement
Effective cross‑functional collaborator with Sales, Medical, Market Access, Compliance, and Global teams
Ethical, values‑based leadership aligned with ABPI standards and company governance
Results‑driven, balancing commercial ambition with compliance, quality, and patient focus
Strong influencing skills with credibility at senior levels
able to drive alignment across functions
