As Head of Marketing Creative, you will lead the creative heartbeat of Westwing’s Marketing organisation. Managing and inspiring a team of 9 creatives across design, copy, (social first) art direction, your mission is to elevate our campaigns and creative output to the highest aesthetic standard and storytelling, making Westwing one of the most admired and talked-about design brands in Europe. This role blends visionary creative direction with hands-on execution, bringing bold ideas and storytelling to life across channels, formats, and markets. This position is permanent and based in Munich.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead campaign creation end-to-end, from concept development to execution, ensuring excellence, cultural relevance, and premium aesthetics
  • Guide internal teams in graphics, copy, and art direction while collaborating with top-tier external photographers, directors, and production partners
  • Translate brand strategy into impactful creative ideas, ensuring consistent storytelling across social, digital, retail, and PR touchpoints
  • Set and safeguard a high creative bar for all assets, from hero campaigns to social formats, ensuring alignment with Westwing’s ambition to become the Superbrand in Design
  • Build and lead campaigns with a strong social-first approach, ensuring that concepts perform natively across Instagram, TikTok, and other emerging platforms as well as traditional channels
  • Inspire and coach a multidisciplinary team, fostering creativity, accountability, and collaboration

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in creative direction, campaign development, or production within the fashion, lifestyle, or home and living industry
  • Broad freelance network with proven experience in agency selection and management
  • Proven track record of leading high-impact campaigns that drive both brand desirability and commercial impact
  • Deep expertise in developing social-first campaigns, with a sharp sense for creating talkable, shareable, and native content across platforms
  • Strong background in premium fashion or lifestyle brands, either agency, freelance or in-house, with a strong eye for aesthetics and culture
  • Broad experience across channels, including social media, digital, retail, print, and TV
  • Natural leader with the ability to inspire creative teams and partner cross-functionally at a senior level
  • A deep understanding of cultural trends, with the ability to translate them into premium creative output
