The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and supporting production processes to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. The role also drives industrial projects and supports workforce capability development through LOFT training program.
Job Responsibility:
Process Development & Optimization: Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure stable, efficient, and high-quality production
Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks, waste, and improvement opportunities
Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies with LIFE tools
Equipment & Tooling Management: Optimize machine settings to improve yield, cycle time, and stability
Quality & Compliance: Ensure processes comply with internal standards, PCP, ISO requirements, and safety regulations
Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective/preventive actions with Plant Quality (8D)
Collaborate with Quality teams to enhance capability and reduce defect rates
Productivity & Cost Improvement: Lead cost savings initiatives through automation, process optimization, ergonomics, and material improvements
Continuous Improvement Integration: Ensure industrial projects contribute to long-term production excellence through improved ergonomics, automation, safety, and capability
Embed Lean concepts into new layouts and equipment specifications
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
5–10 years in a manufacturing environment
Project management and industrialization experience
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with Lean tools
Ability to manage industrial projects and cross functional teams
Strong communication, presentation, and training skills
